Jim Ward, State Legislator, and Barb Fuller, Board of Education, presented a special certificate to Griffith Elementary. Several students were present for the award with Linda Brown, Griffith Principal honoring the 3rd grade students of 2008-09 for making Standard of Excellence on the State Assessment in both Reading and Math. The award also recognized the Standard of Excellence status for 3rd – 5th graders in Math.

School Hours
School starts at 9:00am and dismisses at 4:10 pm. Students that eat breakfast may arrive at 8:30. Otherwise, students should not arrive before 8:50. We do not have the staff to adequately supervise students before that time.
Contact Phone Numbers
Please make sure that we have your phone number in case we need to contact you during the school day. Especially when kids are ill or hurt, it is imperative that we be able to contact you.
Messages to Students
If you need to get a message to a student, especially regarding afternoon transportation, please contact the office before 3:45 pm. It will take time to find the child and relay the message.
Traffic Around the School
Please remember that safety is our #1 priority! We respectfully ask that every driver take time to read the documents below regarding the traffic flow plan at Griffith. Please share this information with any adult who might be coming to the school to drop off or pick up your children. Please take the time to teach your children how to safely use the crosswalks.
